Tiger Beach Trip Information
All of our Tiger Beach trips board at Old Bahama Bay Marina. When you arrive at the airport you will find lots of taxi drivers out front. Just tell the driver you are meeting the M/V KATE at Old Bahamas Bay in the village of West End. We are normally docked on the west wall by the customs dock. If not just look for the big shark boat...
Boarding time is between 4 and 6 PM the first day of your trip.

Travel to Island
There are many different ways to get to the Bahamas from the US. Here are a just a few of the options.
Where to stay on the Island
Cab drivers are allways waiting at the airport and they all travel to the dock to meet us.
Fares are set by the government
From airport to Old Bahama Bay is $75 (2019 price)
We prefer to use a private car service. You can contact Eric Darville at (242) 477-8313 or email him at email@example.com. Give him your arrival date, airline, flight number and number of people in your group. He will be at the airport when you arrive waiting for your party.
Bahamas Car Rental
We return to the dock between 12 noon and 2 PM on the last day of your trip. If your flight is scheduled for that day you will miss the dives scheduled for that morning. We suggest hanging out in the Port Lucaya area for an overnight stay and enjoy the local food and fair.
We get asked all the time how much should I tip. The normal in the dive industry for a week long charter is 10% to 20% depending on your personal experience on the trip. The crew pools all tips and divides equally. Cash is preferred but can be placed on a credit card if needed.
Pack lite. Most people don't use half the things they bring. Bathing suits, t shirts are the attire for most of the time.
Have your gear serviced. We see leaking hoses, bad computers, lacking second stages all the time. Please have you gear checked out a head of time and the it for a test dive in a pool or somewhere before your trip.
These little camera's seem to be the thing now days. If you just purchased one please test it a head of time, More then a couple of the housings that come with them have leaked right out of the box. Also "Red Filters" are a must for great pictures quality in the shallow waters of tiger beach. If you can't get one locally let us know and we will try to have one on board that you can purchase.
